Day 2 Tasks to complete for May 12, 2009

Task One
Read to students in the library; make this a planned activity as well as an informal activity. Keep some notes on how this goes and how you feel about it. Read the notes we gave you about Reading Aloud and build a case for this activity in your library/school.

Task Two
Check out your Job Description. Use the guide on the National Library website. Remember we looked at the National Library website. Click on 'for school staff', 'get advice' and scroll down to Information Guides etc.

Task Three
Post photographs of your workroom on the blog. These will be 'before' and 'after' pictures. Blogger accepts JPGs and it is best to keep these small (not too much storage space).

Task Four
Create your own library Orientation task for students/teachers and bring to Day 2.

Task Five
Bring a book to Day 2 that you have weeded or that you are not sure should be weeded.

Task Six
Request a loan from CIS (Curriculum Information Services) for yourself or a teacher. Use the online request form that Alice showed you. If the loan is for you it can be used for a display in the library or for reading aloud in the library.
