Hi everyone. I am new to te blogging scene and to being a teacher in charge of te library. So a steep learning curve to go on. Have also been asked to source new shelving for the library. GREAT! Would like advice on names of suppliers for shelving. Am thinking of especially of picture books where teh cover can be forward facing facing.
Any suggestions?

Hi Jean
ReplyDeleteI suggest you try Hydestor (09) 274 0026 or Cemac (09) 361 3517. Other places provide shelves but more often than not, they are made by Hydestor. I would also strongly advise you to contact your adviser and ask them to visit your library to discuss your requirements. We are not able to recommend any particular provider but we can provide you with good advice. Face out shelving for picture books works wonderfully and looks fab.
Hi Jean
ReplyDeleteWe've have just had Hydestor install shelving in the refurbished library at our school. They had lots of advice and have a user friendly catalogue you can browse through, with photos, to give you a good idea of what you will be getting. We got lots of face out shelving all round the library and books are just flying off the shelves.
